Evaluation of animatic

A storyboard is a graphical representation of the camera shots in a film sequence which are connected together to create a 'narrative flow' A storyboard serves the same function in film making as an outline does in written projects. It enables the film director to visualise the flow of camera shots. Once a paper storey board is produced the director and director of photography can decide how the shots will be filmed and used.

Since we have produced our animatic we can really see how the storey bored will flow and therefore how the production will look. This means we can construct the understanding of the performance and all members of the group can see the same thing instead of individual thoughts. You can see the links made between the narrative and the star image as the star image is young and partiers and the narrative is a party which they are performing at so visual it links up very well.

We could have developed it by producing more storey bored frames there fore producing a more detailed and better flow to the animatic. The digital technology used in producing the animatic is very important because eit shows a very good structural flow to the storey bored with the music which shows a strong indication to the crew what the director wants.

The animatic helps with planning because we as the crew can see the impracticalities of the production or any props that we need as we can see a visual representational the set and characters.
